The migration holds By the fourth week of August, the Côte d’Azur season has moved past its opening flotilla and into its steady state. The yachting circuit is in residence from St. Tropez to Monaco, with Pampelonne beach clubs anchoring the day and Les Caves du Roy the night. This is not a single event but an eight-week occupation of the Riviera, and the pattern is now fixed.

The price of a berth The signal for the season remains the weekly charter rate for a 70m+ yacht, which sits at €1M or more before fuel and the beach-club bill. That figure sets the floor for the entire ecosystem: crew, provisioning, and the daily transit between anchorages and marinas all scale from it. The rate has not softened as the window narrows.

The logistics of arrival Movement along the coast is by yacht or helicopter, with both modes operating at capacity. The harbour of record is Monaco, where berth availability is the binding constraint for the final fortnight of the window. Helicopter transfers between St. Tropez and the Principality remain the standard for same-day movement.

The final fortnight With two weeks left in the July-August window, the season is in its holding pattern. The circuit will remain in place until the calendar turns, with no indication of early departure. The beach clubs and the yacht clubs will trade places only when the rate card resets in September.
