The migration holds

August 19 marks the penultimate week of the Côte d’Azur high season. The yachting circuit remains in residence along the corridor from St. Tropez to Monaco. This is not a single event but an eight-week occupation of the Riviera, with beach clubs by day and private members rooms by night.

The charter floor

The benchmark signal for peak season is a 70m-plus yacht at one million euros per week. That figure is the bare charter rate. Fuel, provisioning and the cumulative beach-club spend sit above it. The rate has held firm through the second half of August, indicating sustained demand rather than a late-summer dip.

The daily circuit

Movement follows a fixed geography. Days are spent at Pampelonne beach clubs. Evenings shift to Les Caves du Roy in Monaco, which functions as the harbour of record for the season. Arrival is almost exclusively by yacht or helicopter, reinforcing the closed-loop nature of the migration.

The final fortnight

Two weeks remain before the season breaks. Expect the Monaco grand prix harbour to stay at capacity through the end of the month. The circuit will disperse in September, with some yachts repositioning to the Mediterranean regatta circuit and others returning to northern home ports.
